I'm not dead!

Thu Jul 9, 2009, 3:57 PM
This journal really needs updating!

Alrighty, so I have my job at the cinema still, but the real reason I have been completely inactive with art submissions is because of the XNA computer game I am working on.
There are six of us on the team, 2 artists, 2 programmers, 1 manager and 1 audio (engineer?). We are making a 3D platformer game for the Xbox360, gothic in style but lighthearted in overall tone.
I am in charge of everything level design, which is new territory for me, but I am enjoying it greatly and seeing results pay off is something else =) I also have a few characters to be making, hopefully at the end of production in August these things will make it onto DA.
We have a lot of issues still... and the deadline is rapidly approaching. Every moment not spent doing it feels uneasy. But! It will get completed! It shall!

That is pretty well everything I have been doing for the last 3 months (christ, that's a long time...) Overall I am pretty determined right now. I want things resolved and things to go along correctly.
And when it is done. I can get back onto *other* things!

Very cool! I'd love to see more of my characters rendered in your awesome style. I'd even be willing to pass on PDF copies of any of three Pink Carbide books you don't have, if you think it'll inspire ya! :) Just note me and let me know.
