I wanted to acknowledge probably my best costume I've made myself. Grey Fox from Metal Gear Solid, Twin Snakes.

The costume has since died, I tried to have a new photo shoot recently but it's just too worn out :(

Last Halloween (2007) me and friends dressed up as favourite Computer game characters and descended on our University for the *entire* day (and the parties afterwards: the third picture is Grey Fox... in a Pub :P )

It was made for around £70. Comprised of one Wetsuit, Paper Mache, metal mesh (stuff used in crafts and car carbon fibre repairs), latex paints, a dozen velcro pads, card, modelling clay, masking tape, four very strong magnets and a bicycle reflector.

In keeping with the character, the front of the helmet could be detached. A life saver for me you can imagine!

Might not have been comfortable after 12 hours, but sure got attention!

Hehe, to be honest the helmet is the hardest part - and I have deviations describing its construction - the suit is merely a wetsuit with details painted on with acrylic :)

xD That good though. Then you can hopefully save some money rather than spending a load of cash on super expensive materials. Ha ha I'm sure that was a shock for them indeed :'D
