Jumbled

Journal Entry: Sun Jul 27, 2008, 5:38 PM
I am currently struggling about trying to find a job to pay the rent, and resorting to retail places, so my creative drive is somewhat lacking right now.

Though I did have an epiphany last night, and have begun a new A3 painting to go with my "At Ease" piece. Hopefully regaining some of my artistic drive before uni replaced it with computers, written work and game addictions.

I'm also trying to create an Art Book of all my best pieces for sale, as well as get more art on DA available in prints.

Firstly, wow, my page views have accelerated! Thanks all! Over 630? I'll need to do a complimentary picture soon!

I feel as though I am using Deviant Art to some of its potential but not ALL of its potential.

In a bid to make my abilities more professional I'm publicly stating that I'm open for commission work.
I'm no stranger to working for others, on a variety of subjects from music album covers to full traditional paintings.

------------------------------------------

Be it character designs, illustrations for stories, line-art, erotica, 3D art, pretty much anything!

See my galleries to know what artwork I excel at. Not that I'd say no to a commission of a fairytale meadow full of bunnies :P Sure that would be very educational experience for me!

I have a good track record of commissions in the past:
Kirsten's Vampire was a full acrylic/oil/ink/watercolour A2 painting 4 years ago which I was substantially paid £70 for by the client's own suggestion.
And the album cover for Iain Armour, who is a keyboard musician now on the fast track, touring Europe and beyond.

All of these works are found on my website's commission page here

I keep readily in contact with all of my clients, giving quick mock-ups early on and show all developments to be sure I am on the right track of their vision and demands.

It is a great experience for both parties. Please contact me, either through PM or email if you are interested :)

Some free time!

Journal Entry: Sat May 31, 2008, 5:29 PM
Uni is over, completely over, and a very daunting but exciting chapter of my life is just starting! And I have some free time!

While applying for possible jobs over the country ASAP, and avoiding falling into the "playing-games-all-the-time" trap, I'm doing more art, and reading! And even plotting out a new book (though that is on the back-burner somewhat... it's been AGES since I wrote anything... :/ )

So hopefully you'll see more stuff appearing here in the near future!

Oh, and over 570 page views? That isn't half bad :) Thanks all!

98%

Ninety-Eight percent of the three years at uni are done; in a week's time it will be DONE, and a whole new chapter of life will start!

Still don't know what is going to happen :S

The project is done! All eight characters animated and thrown into a showreel - which can be found on my website and Youtube.
Overall I'm pretty happy :) Everyone seems to think I've put more than enough effort into it, although me being me I never think it's enough! I reckon I'm one of the few people who found time... just before deadlines... to start Maya modeling a new character!

It does look awesome though :P

The other two percent is making exhibition material for the final degree show. Otherwise I'm free to tidy the flat, play Trackmania, and not have to think so hard!
